Description

The definition of a den is a wild animal's lair or habitation. Digital Drawing Den is for students who are ready to burrow into an independent project, for those who crave time and individual guidance on their drawn animation practice. The idea of DDD is to provide focused drawn animation time in the lab every week. Students can get specific one-on-one feedback from the teacher, such as direct drawing and motion guidance on the current project of their choice. It's also a place for non-cohort based community shared lab time. There will be end-of-day check-ins with peers, and critique amongst a group of devoted drawers. The first month of the course will focus on introducing the TVPaint program. Students will learn the interface and possibilities, through several one-week challenges. The remaining 2 months of the course are independently driven by each student, using any digital drawing program in the lab. Students can choose a drawn project they want to develop, using that full class time and guidance every week, with the goal of generating and completing the drawn content of their piece.
