Description
During this course we will run a writer's room, cast, rehearse, shoot and edit 8 episodes x 5min.
We will investigate how narrative sea-changes from the "elevator pitch" to "breaking story" in the writers room, then again during rehearsals, production, and finally in the cutting room.
This class will be intensive; students must be prepared to be fully present for the work.
Each student must prepare in advance an idea to pitch for the series. Everyone will contribute as writer, director, actor, cinematographer, editor.
Class is an advanced Film Directing class; MFA students outside School of FV should contact instructor for permission to ask to enroll. Writing and Production experience required.
