Description
Cartoon Logic is a seminar course that presents a
critical and theoretical framework for
experimental animation. Through weekly readings
and discussions, the course will address
foundational questions about what animation is and
what it can do. These readings include art
historical and media theory texts; critical theory
pertaining to art, politics, and culture; and
contemporary scholarship in animation studies. The
course will include a study of selected historical
and contemporary animation as a way to assess
critical ideas being discussed.
