Description

A project-oriented animation class designed to be
taught online, this class uses improvisational
techniques as a vehicle to investigate the art and
practice of animation. Working in TVPaint and
After Effects, in this workshop class students
share drawings, ideas, characters and situations
to build animation sequences, create animation
worlds and, on the way, to improve animation
skills. (If you haven't used TVPaint before, this
class will familiarize you with the program).
? The work covered will explore non-linear
approaches to animation, design, layout, and
sequence development through interaction and
self-organizing co-creation. In this online
community-building animation class, students will
work with some of the content-developing
principles used in improv theatre, to bounce
concepts forwards in a dynamic network of
interactions towards the emergence of a wider
whole, a final project.
