Description
This course aims to give concrete form to abstract ideas through the use of image map and structure map (the form of a physical book), facilitating the identification of a project's core and structure.
It can be challenging to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a concept through written (abstract) language. While many films originate from written scripts, it's essential to translate words into a comprehensive and carefully considered visual and cinematic language.
This course is designed to help students develop their ideas through the creation of image map and structure map during the early stages of production. This, in turn, will enable students to comprehend and identify the overarching structure of their films, ultimately helping them develop an original visual language.
There are no prerequisite courses for taking this class. However, this course is designed for students preparing narrative-based projects. Students should be able to follow the instructor's teaching methods, possess strong critical abilities, and be attentive listeners. Additionally, effective presentation skills for conveying one's ideas are also required in this course.
