Description
This course will explore the processes for
constructing three dimensional sculptures and
objects in clay. We will undertake the standard
methods for building such as slab and coil and
traditional surface treatments including glazing
and firing. Students will be encouraged to
experiment with incorporating the material into
their animation practice as well as applying these
techniques in the construction of static objects.
The class will culminate in a on-campus group
exhibition and critique. There is a $50.00 course
fee which provides most materials needed to
fulfill requirements however students should be
prepared to potentially purchase additional
materials if their proposed project requires it.
