Description

A practical course designed to take the student
through the post-production process toward the
completion of a finished work. This class is
designed for students in the process of finishing
their thesis or senior projects and will include
group as well as one-on-one meetings.

Through continued exploration of software
introduced in CalArts Film/Video introductory
courses such as FPFV134 Digital Editing in
addition to more advanced workflows in various
software and analog-to-digital techniques, its
purpose will be to aid the student in finding and
applying the optimal methodology and technological
procedure in the finishing of their project.

Student will have access to the advanced
post-production facilities in the Digital Editing
and Post area such as the Ultra Studio 4K w/
Resolve suite as well as a ful array of software
in the individual Editing Suites to include Adobe
CC, Davinci, Audacity, Avid, and DCP creation.

Participants will be required to bring current
work in progress. Additional lab time will be
required for anyone seeking independent access to
advanced post-production suites. * Prerequisite:
FPFV205 or FPFV305, FPFV126 and FPFV134. *
Required for advanced editing suite access. *
Recommended for PFV MFA2/3 students and PFV BFA3/4
students. * Permission of instructor required. *
May be repeated for credit.
