Description
This 2-semester course aims to provide students
with a deep understanding of the Film & TV
industry, both in terms of career and creative
opportunities. It is strongly suggested that
students take both semesters of the sequence;
additional students will be added in the Spring
based on capacity.
Through a combination of lectures, workshop and
guest speaker Q&A sessions, the students are
encouraged to think about their future beyond
graduation as both artists and professionals,
analyzing different career paths, creative
practices and resources, learning what it means to
be a "working director", and identifying goals for
themselves. It will also discuss potential career
paths in Narrative Cinema beyond directing or in
cooperation with a career as a Narrative Director.
