Description
A filmmaker's foundation with technical theory and practice for post-production, required for all FFDP MFA 1. This is a practical course designed to take the student through the post-production process toward the completion of a finished work. This class is designed for students in the process of finishing their first year projects and will include group critique sessions. A wide range of topics covered include codecs, data management, best practices for Premiere, mastering, encoding for distribution as well as color theory and grading. Students will complete several small exercises to help practice and integrate material covered in class.
Students will be required to: complete their first year films, i.e., sound-designed, mixed(*optional, highly encouraged), color graded and submission materials authored, as well as participate fully in class critiques.
