Using feminist film criticism, film and cultural
theory, psychoanalytic and post-colonial texts, we
will explore how the advent of cinema has changed
the symbolic and visual representation of sexual
difference, how the images of men and women in
film have been constructed as signifiers of that
sexual difference. Offered by Program in Film
and Video. May be repeated for credit.
