Description
Course receives Critical Studies credit in the Arts in Context
(AIC) category. A writing class for animators that
avoids traditional gag-oriented animation writing.
Screenwriting basics such as format, structure,
action, conflict, story and character will be
addressed at length. Long and short
character-driven narratives will be explored with
the ultimate goal of screenplay literacy and
completion of a script. Each student will write a
screenplay, guided by the instructor and augmented
by class discussion and critique.
