Requirements
BFA Requirements:
To complete a BFA, an undergraduate must complete the courses listed below by year level:
Undergraduate Critique two times (suggested completion in 2nd and 3rd year)
AAIC300 Visual Semiotics (suggested completion in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year)
At least 6 *elective courses within the Photography and Media program as defined below (suggested completion in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year)
*An elective course is defined as having a course prefix of APHM within the following curriculum categories: Lecture/Practice, Lecture/Studio, Lecture/Discussion, Group Project, Critique, or Seminar.
Technical courses/workshops, Production, Studio only and Lab courses fall under the technical requirements and are not eligible for elective course credit.
First Year

APHM101 and APHM102 Foundation Seminar and Critique
APHM-103 New Lab
APHM-110A Beginning Analog Photography
One technical workshop from the APHM-100 A-Z series or a technical course from APHM110 A-Z series
AAIC-310 History of Photography
Art Hazards workshop (AART010) and a second workshop of your choice during Winter Session

*Third Year Presentation Requirement:
The Mid-Residency project occurs in the fall semester of the 3rd year or spring semester of the 3rd year for transfer students.
