Navigated to Arts Education Concentration Requirements (MFA).

The Arts Education concentration aims to prepare graduate students (MFA) to develop their teaching philosophy in preparation for classroom teaching at all levels. The MFA concentration will address both K-12 and higher education. Students will explore historical and contemporary theories of learning from a critical perspective, as well as develop fundamental skills in course planning and classroom management and working with today’s diverse student populations. The teaching practicum will serve as the capstone to the program, including student reflection on their development as future educators.
