In This Thing Together: Solidarity and Practice
What does it take to build togetherness in the current climate of such staggering inequality, polarization, ecological calamity and political violence? Can we navigate alone in our studios and expect to survive? Studio art production tends to emphasize individualism and personal expression. In this course we strive to recognize the potential of our inherent interconnectedness and use our collective power for making. In this class where we will engage readings together and make work together. Collaborative projects and conversations will lead us to an understanding of the crucial role of solidarity. Let's see what we can build together.
