Description

Foley is the art of recording sound effects directly to image (as opposed to using a sound library) for use in post-production sound design. Foley is used mainly to clarify, clean, and accentuate the soundscape of films that sound somewhat realistic, and is used in both animation and live action. In this course, you'll learn the basics of performing Foley, such as footsteps, cloth movement, and prop handling, along with how to best capture and edit these sounds in CalArts' own recording studio, A112.
