The primary focus is on drawing techniques used for expression and communication specific to costume design. These include how to draw the body, portraiture, cloth and also how to 'read ' visual research for different era's;:what details and signals to look for, how to understand clothing and its relationship to the body.
Drawing is one of the primary tools for articulating and communicating design concepts. It is also a tool for working through abstract design ideas.
