Description

Foundation in Two Dimensions: Painting, Drawing, and More is a studio-based course intended as an introduction to painting, drawing, collage, and other two-dimensional approaches and is intended to complement the Art Foundation curriculum. This course includes studio work, demonstrations of materials and techniques, hands-on exercises, screening and discussion of artists' work, in-class readings, and assignments outside of class. Art program students at the BFA1 level will be given priority enrollment in the class. Foundation students may substitute another studio class for AART-109 pending availability and permission of the mentor.

The course may be open to other Art program students by permission of the instructor only, pending *enrollment capacity.
*Enrollment capacity will not be determined before the first week of class.
Student who have taken AART-210B Painting cannot enroll in this class. The course may not be repeated for credit.
