Description

Modern life and society have retrained the perfect breath we were born to take. Each breath we take dictates the confidence, connection and effectiveness of the sound we emanate no matter if we sing or speak, in performance or in life. Connecting to the source and harnessing a free and connected breath - it empowers, emboldens, and energizes the self, the brain, the body, the voice, the artist and the art. This is a meditative and physically active course. Combining Kundalini yoga, Feldenkrais Technique, Dalcroze Eurythmics, Martial Arts, Somatic Breath and Bodywork, Pilates and ending each class with a sound bath, students will elevate the heart rate and enter into a meditation where they focus on the breath and explore sensations. As the skills learned will build from session to session having an opportunity to deep dive into these sensations will be the most effective way to give students the opportunity to carry this practice outside of the classroom. Outside of class work will be required including a daily practice of the techniques introduced in each class.
