A survey of "off the grid" musicians who explore new sounds and forms on the guitar.
Guitarists include Derek Bailey, Sonny Sharrock, Keith Rowe, Caspar Brotzmann, Kevin Drumm, Annette Krebs and many others.
Recorded performances, films and YouTube videos will be utilized.
Playing techniques and improvisational approaches will be discussed.
