Description
This a basic sewing class designed for students
with little to no experience in garment
construction. Students will begin the class with a
shop orientation which will include the safe
operation of home and industrial sewing machines,
steam irons, and specialty tools of the trade.
Students will learn fabric and commercial pattern
usage and explore various materials and basic
construction techniques. We will create a
practice sample book and then move onto to a
simple construction challenge such as tote bag,
pillow or simple T-shaped garment.
