Description
Creating for VR is a studio class with a focus on
creating, developing, and experimenting with new
forms of storytelling and experience creation in
VR. As VR becomes increasingly present in our
homes, we will explore strategies for storytelling
in "open world" immersive and interactive
environments by studying historical forms such as
choose-your-own-adventure and looking at emerging
and yet-to-be-developed rhizomatic forms. The
focus of this class is the creative invention and
exploration of new forms of participatory
storytelling and engagement. The technological
needs of the class will be supported by
TVID-453/TVID-653 Unity, which is recommended to
be taken simultaneously.
