Description
This course will engage with projected imagery as
three-dimensional light moving through space.
Whether in the field of architectural projection
mapping or as art objects in the gallery and
museum, moving images are increasingly inhabiting
the physical world alongside us. This course will
begin with creating sculptural objects as carriers
for the moving image and conclude with related
approaches to the study of projected images mapped
onto architecture. This is a project-based course
that requires students to conceive and create
original work. Some familiarity with 3d software
and video production techniques is expected. The
technological needs of the class will be supported
by TVID-681 disguise Media Server and TIMM-651
Advanced Cinema 4D, which are recommended to be
taken simultaneously.
