Description
The world of the modern Theater Professional is
powered by a myriad of cables - from delivering
power, carrying video and audio signals,
networking data signals, safely delivering
lighting controls and everything else besides.
This course will cover a different family of
cables and connectors every week - students will
learn how to identify, maintain and install all of
the different types of cables needed to run the
modern Theater or Themed Entertainment Experience.
Along with hands-on time actually making different
types of cables, students will learn the
fundamental concepts that govern the different
types of signals each cable carries.
In the latter half of the class, students will
learn to use the DMX standard to automate various
different systems and solutions in the
increasingly technical world of Technical Theater.
