School(s)
Academic Level
UG - Undergraduate
Description
This course will build a fundamental understanding
of electronics and how they can be used to solve
every different type of technical design task the
modern TD may be tasked with. Students will learn
about component identification and reading and
drawing schematics, prototyping electronics and
developing control systems for motors and
actuators to incorporate into their technical
design practice.
Students will get a strong understanding of using
the Arduino platform and programming language to
build one-off control systems for controlling
Motors, addressable and non-addressable LED
lights, sensors and much, much more.
The applications of a strong fundamental
understanding of electronics and microcontrollers
are endless - from the worlds of theater, themed
entertainment and technical design to those of
art, sculpture and product development.
