Description
This class will examine how the body reshapes
space into an immersive environment. Our body's
movements in space define our understanding of
the environment we inhabit. Whether it is an
indoor or outdoor space, we understand the world
through our senses and in relation to spaces
defined by their lines, surfaces and volumes.
Students will develop their skills in both hand
and digital drawing, with a focus on
understanding and drawing in perspective.
Embedded in this course is also an intensive
introduction to the 3D Modeling program McNeel
Rhino 5.0.. Through a variety of investigations,
students will enhance their understanding and
perception of the interactions between objects
and space(s) and the human figure and objects.
They will develop the skills to graphically
present ideas and represent objects necessary for
a designed environment to be realized.
Students should expect to spend up to $100 on
additional course supplies.
