This course aims to provide students with an
introduction into the techniques and processes
used by Production Managers across the
entertainment industry. This course will delve
into various topics that production managers will
encounter over the course of their career. These
topics include leadership and management skills,
software, budget and calendar work, production
rider deciphering, logistics, safety, facilities
and human resources. These topics will be looked
at in detail through the eyes of a Theatrical
Production Manager. By the end of the class
students will have a well-rounded understanding of
these topics and a better understanding of what
all goes into being a successful production
manager.
