Description
While 'Plot Making' stresses the creation of
theatrical lighting plots and paperwork, 'The
Design Process' focuses on the process of
lighting design from the germination of the idea
to final product. Students will design lighting
for a theatrical event throughout the semester.
Through class discussions and critiques, lighting
concepts and ideas will be challenged and
developed. The final project will be a completely
documented lighting design. While this class is
largely theoretical, students will explore their
lighting ideas in the light lab as well.
