Description
Light is the focus of this course in the study of
how artists use light to create fine art, public
installation and how creative applications of
light have and continue to influence architecture
spaces. Students will be introduced the California
Light and Space Movement, light artists and
designers, and their influence on past and current
trends in public space. An introduction on how to
light for architectural will be covered.
Coursework includes creating light sculptures and
concepts for large scale light art pieces.
