Description

A one semester course open to all Theater School
students, BFA 3 and above, who have completed the
introductory course Screenwriting for the Theater
Artist or its equivalent. The course will offer
students a chance to more deeply explore the
challenges and satisfactions of writing for the
screen and really lock in the lessons learned in
the intro class. This course will follow a
workshop structure, where students present their
in-progress drafts to be read aloud, discussed and
critiqued. Students will propose, outline and
work to complete several drafts of a screenplay in
a film form of their choice: short, webisode,
feature, tv pilot. They will need to complete a
minimum of 25-30 pages of properly formatted
writing by semesters end. Significant re-writing
and re-working of drafts a necessity.

If a student's trial version of Final Draft has
expired they will need to purchase this
professional screenwriting software. With a
student discount it is $130.
