Description

Healthcare by Design operates as a dynamic, project-based partnership with Reimagine Well, in which students work directly on a project with real-world applications and public benefit, using the lens of experience design.
Each iteration of the class has a partner and content focus, with past classes taking on subjects including end of life / palliative care, pediatric cancer treatment, movement-based recovery post-op for kids, on-site care environments for staff and doctors, adolescent / young adult early diagnosis and oncofertility, and non-pharmacological psychedelic experiences for PTSD. The class takes a deep dive into the subject matter, interacts with existing models and precedent work from the healthcare and experience design contexts, brings students into direct dialogue with clinicians, practitioners, healthcare organizations, patients, and non-profits, and develops a pilot in response to the challenge presented.
The course is 6 weeks in length. Please contact the faculty for details on the content area and partner for this round of the course.
