Description
A course on how light and design is used to tell a
story in a variety of environments including where
we live, work and play. We will examine why
different lighting schemes are used for different
scenarios and how it affects our lives. We will
explore how natural and artificial light can help
direct people to live the life they need or wish
to have. Exercises include the study of light and
feeling on and off the stage, and the how and why
it makes a difference. You will be guided to use
your powers of observation and intuition to
explore these questions and make different spaces
come to life. We will concentrate on needs,
narratives, and reasons.
