Description
This project-based course will examine and embody
the relationship between play and performance. As
a laboratory for experimentation, it will
prioritize open-ended processes, collaborative
improvisation and shared authorship in the
creation of unique performances. Students will
develop their own creative practices using
gameplay, devised interactions, gestures, and
scores. The class will employ Fluxus strategies,
speculative object making, and finding value in
the "unuseless."
