Description
Course open to MFA2 Acting Program students only.
This course is a synthesis of the material
previously learned in and its application to
composition and the creation of work. Using the
dynamic model of Meyerhold's balagan form as well
as the European Cabaret style of the turn of the
20th century (where social commentary, debate and
questioning prevailed), we will create a piece
through process theatre. Each student must bring
at least one topic, issue or piece of work. This
material will be explored and worked on during
the semester. Both individual and ensemble
performing work will be part of the course.
