Description
The Faculty Collective Ensemble is an ensemble made up largely of performance faculty members along with advanced performance students. Ensemble size and repertoire will vary each semester due to rotating curation and direction. The ensemble will be managed by the Program Director of Instrumental Arts and will be curated and directed by a different faculty member each semester. This six-week ensemble rehearsal cycle will conclude with a concert and occasionally a recording session each semester. Depending on the faculty curator, the ensemble may focus on contemporary or traditional repertoire, notated, improvised, or oral traditions, as well as new student work. Permission of instructor is required to ensure appropriate experience depending on the plan for a given semester.
