Description

Introduction to an arts-centered approach to technology in educational settings, including learning management systems, educational and creative software, teacher support tools, assistive technologies, e-assessment, and generative AI. Course also covers practical and creative applications of website development and the instructional uses of the Internet, word processing, graphics, desktop publishing, collaborative cloud-based technologies, mobile technologies, video production, spreadsheets, and other digital tools. Students practice using these applications to access and evaluate information, analyze and solve problems, and communicate and collaborate with colleagues. They also learn strategies and skills to enable them to prepare their students to be lifelong learners in an information-based society. Meets the technology-education requirement for the California Preliminary Teaching Credential, including CSUN's SED 514 course.
