Graduate Theory Review

Course open to Music School students only.
This class is a review of basic to intermediate
concepts and skills in music reading, music
theory and music analysis (covering material from
a typical undergraduate theory sequence). It is
meant for incoming graduate students who do not
pass the theory diagnostic test given upon
entrance to the Masters program at CalArts.
Music and concepts from all Western musical
styles from music of the Middle Ages up to the
present day will be addressed.
