Course open to Music School students only. A
course devoted to musical literacy and the
competence necessary to pursue the Musicianship
Skills and Music Theory course sequences in the
Core Curriculum. Training is provided in basic
areas, including reading and writing staff
notation, clefs, scales, intervals, triads and
their inversions, rhythm and meter. Extensive
practice outside class time is required.

required.
