Description
This course provides an introduction to reading and writing staff notation, and basic musical concepts such as scales, intervals, triads, chord inversions, rhythm, and meter. Concepts are illustrated across various musical styles. Assignments will involve the use of a keyboard and extensive practice outside of class time is required.
