Advanced Electronic Music Production

This course explores advanced electronic musical
production techniques covering sound design,
mixing and mastering. Various electronic based
musical genres and production techniques from
different decades will be explored, taking into
account the technical and aesthetic considerations
needed to develop new skills across the production
process, from sound design to mixing to live
performance. This advanced course will incorporate
workshop elements aligning with the personal goals
of the students, giving a practical and real-world
context to the course and coursework. Students
will leave confident in expressing their musical
ideas, helping strip away some of the intimidating
mysticism surrounding going from a bedroom
producer to an active working artist.

Prior experience with digital audio production is
required.
