Machine Orchestra

This ensemble explores a musical paradigm where
each musician has a Laptop controlling sound and
media in an interactive manner. The aesthetic of
each computer having its own sound source
(multi-channel speaker arrays) will lead way to a
new paradigm for music computing on stage.
Participants will write software, build
interactive controllers, control robotic systems,
visual graphics, and perform live, in a networked
system. This ensemble will work cohesively with
other Music Technology courses being offered
simultaneously.
