Advanced Production Techniques

Open to BFA3 and BFA4 students only.
This course provides students with advanced
techniques for Audio Production in the studio. We
will discuss microphone recording techniques to
track drums, bass, guitar, winds, brass, vocals,
and world percussion. We will also discuss Mixing
techniques including eq, compression, 2-bus
techniques, re-amping, parallel compression,
sidechaining, and mid-side technique. Home Brewed
techniques for mastering will also be discussed.
This is an advanced course for students already
showing exceptional potential in Concert
Production.
