Improvisation Concepts Improvisation Based on
Ragas and Talas
The class provides a breakdown and general
overview of the Raga and Tala Systems of North
Indian classical music. Through the fliter of
Raga and Tala, these components and ideas are
taught and explored, with the focus and emphasis
being on application of these specific approaches
and concepts, and how to ultilize these elements
in your own work.
Special Topics courses offer in-depth treatments
of topics in their subject area, and are offered
on a one-time or trial basis.
