Description
Flute Studio Class is a weekly meeting of the
flute majors, BFA and MFA. Those studying flute
as a secondary instrument are also invited to
attend. We will discuss a variety of topics,
including resume and website preparation,
pedagogy, repertoire, performance preparation,
mental strategies, various styles of literature,
and techniques such as breathing, vibrato,
tonguing, legato, and extended techniques. The
class will also sometimes be presented as a
Masterclass format and/or dress rehearsal for
students' chamber music ensembles or recital
preparation.
