Professional Development

Course open to Music School students only.
This course will explore a broad range of tools
and ideas for creating a life in the arts,
including preparation for positions in education,
artistic entrepreneurship, and work in non-profit
and for-profit enterprises. Topics addressed
will include techniques for documenting and
disseminating creative work, development of vitae
and other professional documentation, grant
writing, developing an on-line presence,
conducting an academic job search, and methods
for bringing the artistÈs unique projects and
opportunities to fruition.
