Description
Open to School of Music students only. This course
will provide students with practical skills and
insights into building their careers after
graduation. Topics to be covered include: planning
short- and long-term professional goals; locating
and connecting with available work opportunities;
preparing resumes, CVs, and opportunity-specific
documents; research and preparation for job
interviews/auditions; creating professional
publicity materials; grant writing basics; and
developing the ability to adapt to a constantly
changing industry through researching upcoming
trends and collaborative artistic paths. Students
will prepare presentations in these areas as they
apply to their own professional interests and
goals.
