MFA Hour Lesson

Hour lessons (4 credits for MFA) meet 60 minutes
weekly.
Lesson subjects range in styles or practices
(instrumental or vocal performance, composition,
production, etc). The subject of a lesson is
determined in collaboration with the lesson
instructor. Instruction is offered based on
faculty availability, and permission of instructor
is required.
Students should be in communication with their
mentor to ensure they are requesting appropriate
lessons for their degree progress. In certain
programs, an audition or meeting with faculty may
be required before a lesson is assigned. Students
will complete an instructor request form before
the start of each semester and final assignments
will be made by program directors.
