Heavy Shit 5000

Punk, metal, grunge, doom sludge, hardcore,
grindcore, powerviolence, and all their glorious
sub and sub-sub genres. I'll tell you about the
specific genres I know about and love. I invite
everyone to bring a playlist of songs to share.
We're going to sit around and listen to each
others' selections of heavy, fast (or slow),
aggressive music on loud excellent speakers,
hopefully in a dimly lit room. We will share our
reactions, opinions, and whatever else we know
about them including its history, political/social
ideologies, DIY culture, etc. You can of course
include your own music as well. If you don't have
anything to share, that's fine. Anyone is welcome
to listen and chat with us and I'll have you write
something up as an alternative to bringing in
music. If I can manage it, I'll bring in one of my
bands to perform. I'll let you know if there's a
good grind show happening during those 2 weeks (or
whenever) and if you want to go I'll introduce you
to our fiercely DIY LA Grindcore scene!
