Description

Course available by permission of instructor only. This course offers the opportunity to develop skills and techniques to compose music for film and video. Participants are expected to score a number of short clips from original films. Class discussion will center on the critiquing of work done by members of the class. Visiting composers will present their ideas about and experiences in scoring. Working knowledge of and access to software appropriate for scoring purposes such as Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer or ProTools is required. MCMP-341/641 Film Music History & Analysis class is preferred to be taken prior to this course.
