Electroacoustic Ensemble

The electroacoustic ensemble explores
electroacoustic and digital music performance
practices using laptops, tablets, various sensors,
controllers, synths, and multi-channel speakers.
The ensemble will perform improvised and composed
works and explore non-traditional and networked
performance presentations. Musicians playing
electronic instruments, laptops, digital
controllers, voice or acoustic instruments with or
without added electronics are welcome to
participate. Class time will be divided between
ensemble playing and group discussion on
performance practice. Student composers will be
invited to propose their own projects for the
ensemble, in addition to works presented by the
instructor.
