Beginning Talking Drum Ensemble

Talking Drum Ensemble is a performance-based
class. Students will participate in drumming
traditional music from the Dagbani speaking people
of Ghana, West Africa. We will watch video and
discuss various aspects of Dagomba music, in order
to create context for the pieces students are
learning. Students will read articles, when
appropriate, to supplement their understanding of
various topics.
